    Try This At Home - Wine Tasting Party Tips

    Hosting a Virginia Wine Lover wine tasting party at home is easy:

    1. Make sure you have downloaded all the forms you will need for your "Try This At Home" wine tasting party. Click on the forms below to download:

    Preparing For The Party
    Party Checklist
    Wine Bottle Labels
    Wine Tasting Score Sheet
    Wine & Food Pairing Guidelines

    2. When you finish your party, please email photos and tasting results to Virginia Wine Lover executive editor Patrick Evans-Hylton at:
    patrick@virginiawinelover.com

    3. In your email, please include the following information:
    • Your name and phone number (phone number is for verification only)

    • The city you live in and the party location (home, restaurant, etc.) and city where you conducted your tasting

    • The name and email address of each of your guests (they will be contacted for a free magazine subscription)

    • The exact names of each of your wines served: include winery name, wine name, wine varietal, vintage year and any other special designation

    • The average score (computed from your tally sheets) of each wine, next to each wine name

    • A write up from you no fewer than 200 words and no more than 500 words explaining:
         - why you wanted to do a home wine tasting
         - your familiarity and impression of Virginia wines
         - how you decided on the wines you picked
         - reactions from your guests
           (include some comments from their tally sheets!)
         - what foods you served
         - your overall impression of the evening
